The Find window saves and allows the reloading of searches, as well as many individual text search values.

To reload a recent search, select it from the History toolbar item menu. Searches are listed in the menu from most recent to oldest. If the search is a repeat of a previous search, only the most recent is listed.

All text search criteria other than dates have a history button to right of their text fields. Text previously used in searches is listed in the menu from most recent to oldest.

Use the Find Window panel of the Preferences window to set the maximum number of recent searches available in the both the toolbar History menu and text history menus.

• To clear an entire history menu, choose the Clear command at the end of the menu.
• To remove a specific item, select the item you want to remove while pressing the Command key. If the item is in the History toolbar item menu, wait until after the menu opens to press the Command key, as Command-clicking a toolbar item is used to reposition or remove the item and the menu won’t open in that case.
